“It's good to have ASH back, and in form like this, anything is possible.” – Louder Than War
“Not only are they now older and wiser, but they have honed in on what they already know how to do well – please a crowd with surging, fast-paced, stomping floor fillers” – Skyrockit Music
“From the word ‘go’ they were hip thrusting like nobodies businesses, each plectrum blistering swipe sending convulsions through the body collective.” – Vanguard Online
“ASH in their latest form are raw, buzzing and relentless.” – State IE
Seminal Irish Indie Heroes ASH have announced their return to Australian shores for a Headline Tour this March. On their last visit, the band performed their ground-breaking album “1977” in it's entirety, which resulted in Sold Out shows and extra shows being added all over the country. Now, with the new album “Kablammo” under their belt, the mighty ASH return stronger than ever!
“Kablammo” is ASH’s 6th album which comes eight years after “Twilight Of The Innocents”, the album ASH vowed would be their last. However, the trio returned with renewed enthusiasm for playing together which is writ large over the album's 12 tracks and the 'in your face' quality which has made ASH one of the UK's best -loved bands. A little bit of Brit pop, a little bit of punk rock, a little bit of grunge, and a whole lot of exhilarating fun.
Known worldwide for their incredibly fun and energetic live shows, ASH continue to dominate at every venue they play, nearly 25 years into their career. Fans still continue to mosh like there’s no tomorrow at their shows, and ASH simply show no signs of slowing down. They are sure to perform classic hits such as Girl From Mars, Burn Baby Burn, Kung Fu, Goldfinger, Oh Yeah as well as highlights from the new album!
Given the fact that the band remained popular well after the success of their hit record “1977” which came out in 1996, that alone shows the loyalty of the fanbase, and ASH’s ability to continually to put out solid records &ndASH; and “Kablammo” is yet another step forward in the bands illustrious career. Given their wildly successful previous tour of Australia, it would be silly to miss them this time around!
